In the ’90s fashion industry was promoted through ads that somehow trying to shock the viewer, excessive nudity was promoted. But in recent years the trend has changed. The ads try to communicate an smart advertising message, each ad is trying to tell a story. Art directors are trying to go beyond ads and to communicate a message that has a meaning for the viewer. Why do we see models that look perfect and always have an enviable body on these ads? The challenge would be to see a commercial print ad for shoes worn by a lady full of loot, or Levi’s jeans worn by a man who is overweight.
